With Nolensville Rd. and I-24 areas you are dealing with large area and one of the highest populated corridors in the Davidson county area with a vast differences in economic, social and ethnic groups in the entire metropolitian area. The area where the house is is actually a decent, older community. However, the apartments that are a few blocks away, closer to Harding Place, may not be as nice of an area, but by no means dangerous. The set up is similar to areas such as East Nashville and Germantown in North Nashville that have nice areas only blocks away from public housing that actually are dangerous, yes public housing in East Nashville...
The Nolensville Rd/I24 area is more ethnically diverse than any other part of Nashville so for many in Nashvlle that is automatically considered "less safe", however is not always the case.
To be more specific of where to stay in the area, any of the house located in the neighborhoods along Haywood Lane between I-24 and Nolensville are fine, particuarly the ones closer to where the road makes a sharp bend near the large chuch, and up to the area closer to the school.
Skip south of Old Hickory/Bell on Nolensville Rd. down to the county line, Lenox Village area, is very nice, more expensive that Haywood lane.
Recommended area east of I-24 would be southeast of Bell Rd, northeast of Murfreesboro Rd. southeast of Harding/Donelson Pk. Or areas in neighborhoods along Una-Antioch or Franklime-Limestone Rd. up to Murfeesboro Rd.

Small world. I used to live on Wallace Rd. too, and also on Harding Place. It was nice when I lived there years ago, and I used to walk a long way to a bus stop without any fear, but I sure wouldn't feel safe living in that area now.

Yes. When I first moved to Nashville, I lived at the Sunrise Apartments on Wallace and the area was fine. That was in 1994. I used to walk down to Nolensville Rd. and back for exercise and those hills surely supplied it. I also used to walk to Harding Mall with absolutely no fear. It's a shame how times have changed!
