Williamson Cty all good?
Currently in Southern California. Considering a purchase of land, 5ac+ and building a place, total cost maybe $500,000.
Want to be 15-20 minutes MAX from Cool Springs, surrounded by rolling hills, trees, pole fence and hay bales... maybe a creek. Saw Leipers Fork area...
Visited Cool Springs area a few years back and liked it along with Brentwood. Just want something a bit farther out. Good idea??
Anywhere else in Williamson Cty to consider? No mobile home neighbors, rusted out cars, pit bulls or wanna-be teenage gangsters please. Horses, dogs and smiles preferred.

I'll send you a PM about a couple of things.
By the way, you mean Williamson County. Franklin and Brentwood are cities within Williamson County. Just thought I'd let you know.

Charlie, Quite a few of the Nissan relocations here moved to Fairview because its a bit rural but close to Nashville. It's also part of williamson county.

That's true. It's still Williamson County schools, but it has its own personality. Don't expect a more rural Brentwood or Franklin. As in Leipers Fork, you will find some of the things you mention wanting to avoid. Beautiful country though. Take a look for yourself and you'll find the community that's right for you.
Good luck with your move!

Hey Charlie..
I moved here from San Diego...currently living in Franklin...what an amazing life change! ...all good, I might add.
There are many areas that would be good options. A lot might depend on if you have school age kids...
There are many areas I would live because I do not have to worry about that...
Feel free to PM me for more ~transplant~ insight...!

From a recurrent visitor, I can tell you: if you ain't seen it in years, you ain't seen it!!
Cool Springs completely overgrown, Spring Hill had to request an added census in 2005, they'd so overgrown from their 2000 numbers as to not be receiving adequate fed funds to meet basic infrastructure needs!
I recommend a VERY THOROUGH visit in person before you make any choosing, quite a shock might await......
