I'm not sure if anyone else in our area is a fan of the show & watching this season. I had never seen it before but JLo peaked my interest

Anyway, I think it's pretty cool that we have 2 local folks that have made it this far.

1. Paul McDonald-East Nashville

Paul was voted into the Top 10 & his band The Grand Magnolias now have a No. 3 record on iTunes, pretty cool

2. Ashthon Jones-Goodlettsville

Ashthon was not voted into the Top 10 by the American public but won a wildcard slot given by the judges & remains in the competition.

Very neat, can't wait to watch the show tonight & support our Nashville neighbors.

Courtney

I am! I'll admit it! No one 'knows' me here! Although the year before last was my favorite. I don't think Ashthon will make it far. Paul McDonald has an interesting personality and unique voice so will probably be up in the top 5? There was a great acapella group from Nashville that came in 2nd on the Sing Off. Fun that so much non-country music comes out of Nashville now. It IS Music City!

^Hey Country Girl I did hear that there were some guys from East Nashville on the sing off, very neat I've never seen that show before, but I heard they did a really nice job.

Also, I was mistaken, AI switched this week to just Wed. & Thurs. so there will be no show tonight

I think Ashthon is adorable & has everything going for her, but since she wasn't voted into the Top 10 I'm not sure how far our Goodlettsville girl will go.

Definitely rootin' for the home team with Paul, I hope he makes it far!

This is the first season I've ever watched American Idol. I'm an old Aerosmith fan and had to tune in to check up on Steven Tyler. I also enjoy Jennifer Lopez. I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying this show, I always thought it sounded so lame!

I must have played Paul McDonald's version of Maggie May 10 times. There is just something about his voice, style, and that smile...dang! Not sure if he'll win or get very far...but I'm wishing him (and Ashton) well and enjoy watching the show. Goodonya, Nashville!

DialIdol had Paul at the BOTTOM so he may have been saved this week by online voting. I got all excited about that idea UNTIL I found out I had to be on Facebook. I might be the ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET not on Facebook but I'm staying off of it.

I don't know if Paul can win. He's a bit left/right of center. And when Taylor Hicks (also not typcial Idol material) won, his career never took off. I do enjoy the show except I think Ryan Seacrest is even meaner with his elimination schtick than he used to be. This year they are singing songs from the year they were born MEANING I won't know any of them!

I'm not on facebook either. I voted by texting.

I don't expect Paul to win...but I really enjoy him.

Me too. LOVE this season. I like Paul's boots. I don't think he can win, but he shouldn't go before Stefano or Hayley. Even LAuren.
