I am Romanian and planning to move to the Murfreesboro area from NYC. Are there any other Romanians in the area? I am mainly interested in finding a Romanian Orthodox church, stores selling Romanian or Eastern Europen/Russian food and goods, maybe some restaurants. I would love to find a small Romanian community for my family to meet and perhaps a Romanian market or restaurant. I would be very happy even with a Russian market. They usually have excellent cold cuts and candies. Thank you.

There is an Eastern European Market in Berry Hill across from 100 Oaks on Thompson Ln. It's called Aleksey Market.

I can't help with church or shopping but if you need a Romanian dentist I have a good one: Radu Pop in Belle Meade.

The Shell station on Murphy Rd (off of West End in Nashville) has some Eastern European groceries. The owners could probably point you in the direction of a larger community.

There's a Romanian Orthodox Church on Tusculum right off of Nolensville in Nashville: Home Page

And, as mentioned above, Aleksey on Thompson is the only place I can find Eastern European groceries in Nashville...but it's good!

Just came back from Nashville, and we did stop at Aleksey for some...gogonele :-). We went to St Andrei church as well, but of course nobody was there at this time...will have to go back on Sunday morning. Is there any particular reason why we talk in English here? (not everyone helping to answer this post is Romanian?)
