As a backup, you can always hit the Panera on Commerce between 4th and 5th, across from the Renaissance. Look also along Market Street (aka 2nd Avenue). Good luck!

DonCorleone, I've had the Capitol Grille breakfast/brunch...it is good, but overpriced.

You're right about downtown being "slim pickin's" in a way.

I like a lot of the suggestions mentioned, I thought I would also add that Athens on 8th So. in Berry Hill is an excellent choice for Sunday Breakfast/Brunch, and is about 8-10 minutes from downtown.

I just wanted to provide an update...we ended up eating at Southern Bred in East Nashville for a late breakfast/brunch. I forgot I had purchased a gift cert to there a while back and we finally got a chance to use it. Breakfast was very good and filling. Cinnamon rolls, biscuits, omelet, potatoes, awesome pancakes, bacon & sausage. It definitely filled us up for the rest of the day. Hopefully we have a chance to go back sometime in the future to sample some of their lunch and dinner meat & 3 offerings.
