My family and I are moving to Smyrna in Sept. and are coming to check out some houses in Smyrna next week. We are not sure if we will be bringing the kids along. Does anyone have any suggestions on some places we should see or visit to get us ready for our move. We will be on a strict budget when we visit, but we also do not want to be stuck in a hotel room during the evening hours. We don't mind driving into Nashville or Murfreesboro and would like to stay in a 30-40 mile radius if possible. Thanks for everyones help.

How old are your kids? My girls have always loved going to the Children's Discovery Center in Murfreesboro. There is a huge children's park in Murfreesboro off of Old Fort Parkway that connects to the Greenway - completely free! Cannonsburg is also in Murfreesboro and at the end of the Greenway. This is a neat reproduction Pioneer Village that kids enjoy walking through. You can also rent bikes at Cannonsburg and bike the Greenway.
