groov, the mansion is certainly not being wasted.

Barbara Mandrell Home, Celebrity Mansion Tours, Private Events Nashville | The Fontanel Mansion

That, in itself, with just the right act, would be staycation enough.

The Tuesday Nite Opry from 7-9 has a relaxed feel with fewer acts that go for 15 minute segments. Some acts have the chance to try new tunes or something different.

The Friday Nite Opry from 7-9 is a little more tradtional with a host artist & 2 "guests" in each 30 minute segments.

The Saturday Nite opry retains the old format. Most shows include a mix of new stars, old legends & others. This can make for a very fast moving show.

For many acts, this will be your only chance to see them in Nashville. Other acts will try very hard. The music usually does follow the season for special events. The Opry can be a great way to begin your holiday.

las paletas. the gourmet ice pop place. Also love the frist. Chaney's Dairy barn right over the border of Kentucky has delicious ice cream. How about the Funky Griddle where you make your pancakes at your own table. I've never been but it sounds fun.

Smile Etheridge Amish

You don't have to take the buggy ride at Granny's to visit the Amish. Any Amish that have a sign out on the mail box or on the side of their driveway is an invitation to what they have to sell and please stop and look at it. DO NOT GO ON THE PORCH UNLESS INVITED! I have been going to that community for many, many years. Some just want to sell you what they have and get on with their chores. Some might want to talk if you don't get into an argumentative mode thinking you are better and they are backward. They are very, very intelligent and properous people who don't let worldly things get in the way of their religious life. Do not take pictures.
