We moved to Murfreesboro recently and am looking for a reasonably priced dentist who will work with patients and their parents and not rip people off. We have dental insurance and it was amazing how the first dentist I took my son to tried to turn a couple of cavities into a 7000 estimate for work needed. Any suggestions would be great and thank you.

Check into Dental Plans. Many times they are much better than dental insurance. You can google Dental Plans and learn all about it. If you have any questions or need help you can DM me. Our dental plan has saved my husband and I thousands of dollars.

Can I tag along in this thread? Husband and I need a dentist too. Last thing on our list. Found doctors and hairdresser/barber we like but the dentist thing scares me.

Not because I don't like dentists but because I don't want our insurance ripped off and there are so many offices all around the 'boro.

Thanks.

Joanne

I'll just post what I sent in the DM, then. I'd recommend Dr. Adam Crowe who is located in Smyrna. Smyrna is a little bit of a drive for me, so I haven't gone down to his new office yet, but he's a good dentist, honest, and has a good bedside manner.

What about one in Nashville? I'm in Nipper's Corner, and would go to Cool Springs...

We use Dr. Nally Dentist - William D. Nally, DMD - Mark A. Horne, DDS - Nashville, TN in the 100 Oaks area. He is really reasonable. He spends part of his time volunteering at places for people who can't afford dental care, both in the US and abroad. He is our family dentist, he treats my children also. I really trust him.
I recently took my oldest to several orthodontists for a consult, and they all mentioned what a great dentist Dr. Nally is. It helped reinforce my already favorable opinion of him.

we ended up going to Premier Dental in Nashville, my son needs extensive work and that dentist will do it in stages, (root canals first and then crowns later) so we can afford the work. Reasonable and ethical so far. Thanks for the private message that suggested him and also for everyone who responded.
