Well, if you hate winter, okay, but gee which is best, ice and snow or drowning in sweat?

It's less embarrassing to add more clothes than it is to take off everything you're wearing.

Of course, Nashville is the Home of the Grand Ole Opry -- so maybe you're getting set to break into the music business. If that's the case I wish you great success.

Well, taxes will naturally depend on the value of your property. Our taxes are over $3000 in Williamson County, so figure closer to $250-300/month.

For trash, you can haul it yourself to the convenience center (a.k.a. dump) or pay someone ~$60/month for trash and recycling.

Other utilities (water, sewer, electric, gas, Home Owner Association if you have one) will probably run you a few hundred dollars per month, although you have control over that. The previous owner at our property racked up $600-800 water bills (no joke) trying to keep the lawn green in mid-summer. We gave up on that objective and our water bills were closer to $50-70/month. Electric and gas bills can similarly fluctuate depending on whether you are willing to put on an extra sweater in the winter and/or get a little sweaty in the summertime. Embrace the seasons, I say! (And save some $$$ in the process.)
