Arrow Local? Or did you relocate? From WHERE?

I was going to do a poll but I don't know how to. So I was just wondering, if the folks on this board have lived in Nashville (etc.) all their lives OR if they relocated, from what part of the country OR from what part of the planet?

Moving to Nashville was not even on my radar until I visited about 4 years ago and it was nothing like my preconceived notions. I did a side by side 'study' (entirely unscientific) of Cincinnati vs. Nashville for about a year before we decided on Nashville, which won for better climate and lower taxes.

Left Connecticut behind.

(Before that lived in Florida, Minnesota, California, Colorado, Australia, Switzerland, and Massachusetts.)

I KNOW there are other transplants on the board . . .

Nashville...born and bred. Grew up in Madison and Goodlettsville, moved to Mt. Juliet for awhile and have settled in Hendersonville.

Interesting that it was between Nashville and Cincy for you. I love Cincinnati and if I had to pick another city to live in, that would be my choice.

I was born in Detroit and lived in suburbs of Detroit until the 8th grade. We moved to Smithville, TN (near Center Hill Lake) and I lived there until I graduated from high school. I then moved back to Michigan for a little while, then to Mississippi. I graduated from Mississippi State and didn't stay in Mississippi too much longer after graduation. I moved to Nashville in 94 and have been here ever since.

I guess, I'm technically a transplant...but Nashville feels like home at this point.

Born in Glasgow, Kentucky, but family roots in Nashville. Lived here since a wee babe in arms...quite an armload considering my birth weight was 10 lbs, 6 oz. Oh well, I'm a lean machine now. Technically moved to NYC in 1980, but didn't stay long enough to say I actually relocated. A local yokel, that's me, true blue and determined to stay forever.

Grew up in Inglewood and have migrated back. It was probably Don's car I hit with all those water balloons and bottle rockets behind Madison Square. No offense, Don, a target was a target. lol

Born and raised in Massachusetts. Crossed the boarder in 2003 to New Hampshire. Lived there with my husband until we decided to move to Murfreesboro last year (2010).

We never dreamed we would live anywhere but New England so this was a big leap for us. No family in state (closest are now in Georgia) but left the rest in Mass. and Maine.

Love, love, love it here. If I live to over 100 (like my Nana did) then I will have lived half my life in the north and half in the south.

Grew up in a very small farm town (300 people) in North West Tennesse, moved to a bigger town (4,000 people) in 2002 when I got married, then moved to another town (3,000 people) in 2004 when we bought our first house...all in North West TN. We moved to Smyrna in Nov 2010 and I love it! It is bigger than any town we lived at before, which kinda scared me but it is the perfect size for me. We don't plan to move again for a long time!

Born and raised in Upper Michigan (surprised to meet so many people who don't know MI has 2 peninsulas)
My husband was raised in SE Ohio. We landed here after short stops in California, Germany and twenty years in Wisconsin.

Born and raised in Utica, NY. Lived in southern CT for 20+ years and northern IL for 11 years before I retired here to Murfreesboro. I wanted out of the harsh winters and this area gave me what I wanted.
