I am getting ready for trip 2 to visit my daughter in Nashville and wanted to know where I can find a nice platform bed frame. Please point me to some nice furniture stores that deliver and set up, reasonable, more of a IKEA look. I bought a very good navigation system, so I ready to go shopping. I just hope the weather starts cooling down. Thx for any suggestions.

Crate and Barrel has some amazing platform beds that are not that expensive. Unfortunately, you would probably have to order it on their website, because there aren't any Crate and Barrel stores in TN. It really sucks too, because I love that store.

alleycat, i even wrote to Crate and Barrel's corporate headquarters to find out if there were any plans to open a C&B in the Nashville area. They replied back that there are no plans for the upcoming year. I don't know what the hold up is. Seems like such a great market for them.

Crate and Barrel would be great. I cannot believe they do not have a store in Nashville, however I believe we have more in Northern Ca than So. I think it would fit nicely in the Cool Springs area, you have everthing else. But you are on track of what I am look for, but I like the whole experience of going in the store and shopping in places with air conditioning going (just checked your 10 day forecast). Plus, I am thinking I will be there on labor day and might find a few sales....Maybe???

I've been in 2Danes a few times. They have some interesting stuff and stuff that is cleverly designed. It seems awfully expenisve to me however for what it is.

There's also a Pottery Barn at Green Hill. They have some sort of platform bed.
