Hi there. Good for you going to college and starting a life for you and your baby. I'm not living in Nash. yet, but am planning a move soon. I do have some family down there and have visited a few times and it's a wonderful city. If you research the Nash. forum you'll find a ton of information about the area as well. From my own research, I read that Nashville has a thriving job market and is better off than most other cities, with a low unemployment rate. It's also named one of the friendliest and cleanest metro cities. I've heard good and bad things about schools. People who tell you a school sucks is probably just going off ratings and I don't think you should base your judgment purely off those ratings since parental involvement plays a significant role. I have heard though that the best schools are in Williamson County and Hendersonville has good schools too. I hear way too often to stay away from Antioch and after delving deeper into it for some time, I came to the conclusion that what they say is right: stay away from it. I, personally, like LaVergne. It's one of the fastest growing cities right now, good schools, close proximity to Nashville, and the real estate is affordable. A lot of the answers you get on here are going to be purely opinion and I hope you don't let others deter nor sell you on one specific location. The only way to find out where is best for you is to go there yourself. Do you have someone that can watch your daughter while you take a trip there to explore? It would just be easier on yourself if you can make a trip alone and really explore the area/surrounding areas to figure what works best for you.

A helpful website that I LOVE that you could take a look at is:

Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

Just type in the place and it will tell you about everything in the area.

Go to google maps an study the city via satellite. Good way to find out where certain types of stores/amenities are that you might want to have close.

Hope I helped somewhat and good luck with your move!
