I am working at Fort Cambell, KY right now and I will be moving to Nashville soon. I will be commuting back and forth for work. Does anyone know what the estimated travel time is from the Hermitage area in Nashville to Fort Campbell or the Clarksville area in the morning between 6-8AM? How much traffic will I experience?

Leaving between 6, 7, or 8 will make a huge difference. From your residence, a lot depends if you use Briley Parkway to get to NW I-24 or use I-40 to get on I-24 near downtown. There will be the most traffic where I-24 comes from the south & continues untill it turns off I-65. At least the stretch near LP field has been redone. Roadwork is slated for I-65/I-24 in the Trinity lane to Briley Parkway area. You will avoid this by going near the Opry house to I-24. From there you should travel at posted speed limits (assuming no wrecks). Another concern would be travel in icy/winter weather that seems to happen in Fort Campbell before it moves into Nashville.

I will be leaving near an Urban Active Fitness if that helps. The address is 3051 Lebanon Pike Nashville, TN, 37214. Thanks for the info. Which time between 6-8AM will there be the least traffic?

6 AM. If you take Briley Pkwy, you shouldn't encounter any traffic delays on your way to Clarksville.

That's actually just inside the Donelson area FYI. Stones River is the dividing line.

It should probably take you an hour, give or take, to get to Fort Campbell from there. Don't bother getting on I-40 for that short stretch. Take Lebanon Pike straight to Briley Pkwy, then head north.

THe first traffic reports on the radio appear at 6. By 7 the rush hour begins. 8-9 is the peak of the AM rush. On the I-24 route from Briley NW of Nashville to Clarksville traffic will depend on any wreck or weather delays.
