We are relocating to Nashville from NJ in less than a year. We are looking to take advantage of the lake and have a boat. We have a newborn son and looking for a child/dog friendly spot. Welcome any insight on marinas. Would love to find one that has a pool and a good social vibe. That being said, we'd want to live nearby. Have considered the towns of Old Hickory, Mt. Juliet and Hendersonville. Looking forward to reading your comments.

If you're looking for a place with a marina, pool and everything else, the only place I know of is Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville. But minus the pool...

Anchor High (Hendersonville) and Blackjack Cove (Old Hickory) have restaurants and party decks etc. So does Cherokee, but that's farther east between Lebanon and Gallatin. Cedar Creek used to, not sure if they still do, it's kind of an out-of-the-way location.

Creekwood in Hendersonville doesn't have a restaurant but is across the street from Steamboat Bill's, one of my favorite places, and the view is great.

I'm assuming you said marina because you want a place to keep the boat in the water 24/7/365. If you have the ability to store the boat and just need a place to put it in the water, that opens up lots of other possibilities, e.g. Langford Farms on the Wilson County side of Old Hickory, which has a pool/swim club and is down the street from the Shutes Branch ramp.
