Default Anyone Here Live in Portland?

Hi there. I posted in here several times and I was wondering if anyone who uses this forum lives in Portland? We will be moving there in April or May.

Does Portland have DSL or does the cable company provide internet? We love the internet for all it has to offer and want to continue it's use. The house we are buying is North of town off Broadway.

Thanks Lee

A quick search showed a number of DSL providers in Portland (AT&T, Earthlink), and internet service provided by Comcast.

I'll be living in Cottontown which is close to Portland. I'm with AT&T. According to the website, there is DSL, but it's NOT true. I can only get dialup so I'm purchasing an aircard and going wireless. It's best to call and verify. It took me many tries to get an accurate answer as the first girl with AT&T was giving me DSL and the next 3 said she was wrong.

I'm getting mine through Verizon since their my cellphone company. It will cost me $60 a month for the service. I heard Verizon reception (even for cell phones) is the best for this area - better than AT&T.
