I am moving to the Nashville area. I will be working on Cool Springs Blvd in Franklin. I am looking for a nice, safe and reasonably priced apartment. Are there any nice suburbs close to Franklin that would be a fairly easy drive into Franklin?

It's a tiny bit low for the immediate Cool Springs area.

Try Views of Brentwood (the street is the unfortunately named Plumnelly Circle). They are located off the beaten path just off Old Hickory Blvd at I-65 (behind Shoney's) and would be a straight shot against traffic to your job.

If you can raise your budget to $900, you could find something in Wyndchase, off Cool Springs Blvd., or Southwind Apartments just south of Cool Springs off Highway 96/Murfreesboro Road.

If you can go up to $1,000, you could try Alara River Oaks at Royal Oaks Blvd and Liberty Pike, Alara Brook or Alara Farms.

My pleasure.

I forgot to mention that there are a ton of complexes off Edmondson Pike between Old Hickory Blvd. and Huntington Parkway in South Nashville that would get you on I-65 going against traffic in the AM. Someone recommended them recently, but I can't find the thread.

Brentwood Downs is one of those complexes.

Be wary of apartments with Brentwood in their name, because none of them are actually located in Brentwood. Not to say all of them are bad or anything (I actually have no idea), but most of them are in Antioch. Really though anything west of Edmondson should be good, after that I probably wouldn't bother for 2 reasons. 1. the area starts to get progressively shadier IN MY OPINION as you head towards Nolensville rd/I-24. 2. you can find something closer to Cool Springs for the same price or fractionally higher

A noteworthy point.

The Edmondson Pike area is still fine, and I recommended it because the apartments progressively closer to Cool Springs have much higher rents: $1K to $2K.

If the OP wants to stay around $850, he will need to look farther away from 37067.

The average monthly rent in Nashville as of last week is $790.

You can do a 1-bdrm at ALARA Cool Springs for that. They just don't have a lot of vacancies. Give them a try. The location is fantastic, and they are very nice. ALARA® Cool Springs - Apartments in Franklin, TN

Good luck with your move!
