The burgers are awesome...but some people don't like the bun. It's made by Provence (so it's a good quality)...but it's almost white and kind of doughy. I have no problem with it...but some do. It's on the corner of West Eastland and McFerrin in East Nashville. If you take Ellington Parkway (north) and exit on Cleveland turn right and left at the first light...it's on your right.

Yea I was wanting to check out East Nashville. Haven't seen it in a few years.

The Pharmacy does have great burgers and I love their buns; their fries are not good--both the sweet potato and regular fries are soggy and greasy. Sometimes if you asked for them to be cooked crisp, they are better.

I half agree with this, I completely agree about the sweet potato. I've ordered them a few times and they are always mushy, but the regular fries have been crisp for me everytime. The only thing I've noticed with the fries is the amount seems to vary drastically.

I also love their buns, I think Provence is a great local option and the buns really add to the flavor of the burger. It's a sourdough bun I guess. If you're used to a regular white or wheat bun you won't find it at the Pharmacy.

I also really want to expand on the beer they have too. I'm a craft beer fanatic of sorts and they do a really good job with keeping some of the better local craft beers on tap. They also sell beer from tap for a fair price too. It's hard to find good beer at a good price and have the fair selection without going somewhere like M.L Rose or Flying Saucer.

That area is beginning to get dangerous for pedestrians. And now there's plans of Climb Nashville being over in that same area and that's going to add to the congestion that's already in place.

OK you guys have me sold on Pharmacy Burgers! I like that they use only Tennessee beef, and I like that Provence makes their buns. I've been known to drive all the way from Knoxville to Nashville just to buy bread at Provence (and a few pastries). The ambience at Pharmacy Burgers sounds like my kind of place, too. Even though I don't drink, eating a big juicy homemade burger in a beer garden sounds fun.

I'm very picky about my fries, though (I used to live in Belgium, so I'm very much an arrogant snob when it comes to fries, I admit it) so I'll probably just stick with the burgers.

Is Climb Nashville opening up a second location or leaving Sylvan Heights?

They have some killer milkshakes too They also make their own soda's, pretty good as well.

Never been to Pharmacy Burgers, sounds good though. Might have to make that a priority when I'm down that way this football season! A bit off topic from the article, but is DeMoses still open? Love that place. Real good steak and Pasta for a reasonal price.
