where to bowl?
I am going to be moving out to Nashville in a couple of months, and I am wondering where to bowl. I spent the last two years working in a bowling center, and I am missing my leagues already (it's only been a month!). I am looking for a place with a bar, with synthetic lanes, and a good league base. What is the most updated place in the area? I don't mind a bit of a drive if the center is worth it. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I used to bowl often before moving to middle TN, but just haven't had time since.
From what I've heard, the bowling center in Franklin and their leagues are great. I hear they are very competetive and don't "block" the lanes for high scores. You may or may not appreciate that.
A lot of people like the Smyrna Bowling Center, but I hear that's more of a high scoring center where they "block" lanes.
I've heard good things about Tusculum Lanes in Antioch as well.
There are plenty to chose from in the area, so I really don't anticipate you having a problem finding a place you'll enjoy.

There used to be a good bowling center in Franklin, TN off I-65 but I have not been there in a while.
There is also a good league bowling center on Nolensville Road - you should check that out.
Good luck!!

Hermitage Lanes
I also relocated to the area recently. I have joined a league at Hermitage Lanes in Donelson and really enjoy it.

I know bowling alleys tend to be in shadier areas. Could someone please tell me some alleys where I won't have to worry about getting my car stolen? Also, what houses have the best prices?
Thanks.

I don't bowl much, but I think most of the bowling alleys are in reasonably nice areas.
A couple of general recommendations: Hillwood Strike & Spare (only one mile from the Metro Police West Precinct Station! ;-), and Franklin Lanes in (you guessed it) Franklin.

I always liked the Franklin bowling alley. Plus they have smaller alleys for the kids, which I thought was cool.

My son bowls in a league at the Family Fun Center in Hendersonville. It is a really nice place.

It seems like everyone has the same place in mind...just as I. The Bowling alley in Franklin. It's really nice and new...
