I am moving to Nashville area in a month. Time goes by so quick. I am wanting to rent a house for the first yr and have found a decent company to do so. What I am struggling with is the choice in area. I have sent friends to check out LaVergne and they said it was aweful (sorry to offend anyone from there). Is Smyrna and Murfressboro too far or are they ok? Is there actual stuff to do (bars, dining, parks) in those areas? Please offer ANY help. I am going to fly in on 10-20 and hope to pick up keys and chose that day- unrealistic much? Thanks all

You mention suburbs SE of Nashville. Is that the only part you are interested in?
Also, do you have any concerns (traffic, schools, etc)? I think you need to be a little more specific in order to get some quality responses. |

There are areas of Smyra that are "ok" - but I would go to Murfreesboro if that is the area of town you are looking at. There is A LOT more there than in LaVergne or Smyrna. Lots of bars, restaurants, parks, shopping etc..
It's really developing more and I think you would like it ![]() |
