Any nice places to hang out??
I have lived in Nashville my whole life and I am now divorced at 32. I was wondering, are there any nice places to go have a drink and hang out without all the younger crowd that seems to be everywhere I go??
Thanks guys!!!

I am not single or in my 30's but my observation is that some of the wine bars in town attract a lot of 30ish and older professionals, lots of woman in groups as well (Rumours on S12th and in East Nashville come to mind). You might also try higher end restaurants that have bars. Good luck!

not really...Nashville is an overpriced college town that wishes it was Los Angeles - it's really quite ugly and the down town such as it is is mostly sleazy touristy... hillsborough is really the only decent part of it if you are used to a more sophisticated zip code shopping eating..and it's no nirvana - too much new money pretentious locals and new arrivers from NY NJ and PA draggin their spolied brats and gas guzzlin suvs with em

Someone hasn't had their coffee this morning . . .

Maybe it's just me but the more I read on here (TN Forum) the less welcome I feel. "sleazy touristy", I hope that isn't the way I am looked at while visitng Nashville and surrounding areas next week. "new arrivers from NY NJ and PA draggin their spolied brats and gas guzzlin suvs with them" .....?? Hum. I'm just wondering if the newbies/transplants to this area really feel welcomed ? Or have they found it hard to fit in and be accepted?

I think it has to do with the way you treat people...that goes for the transplants and the locals...hubby and I had a wonderful trip both times we were back...and cannot wait to call Nashville home...it already feels that way to us.
