That is one of the top 5 worst areas of town. But I doubt that you will be shot or something. Buy some security bars and rest assured you will be okay.

But keep in mind the hope 6 money has run out which means those projects will stay. That area isn't going to improve much.

It's not a mile or two, though. It's a block or two. That neighborhood is a quarter square mile at best.

(And the Napier projects are to the south; the slightly newer Sudekum projects are to the west)

Not until our politicians buy up the land.

Wow, somebody has dropped a wad in that place. Very nice. Unfortunate location.

I believe that area is called Chestnut Hill? There's actually been some press about the area lately. I would do a Google search for more info. There are some people renovating houses in the area. I would also check out South Inglewood. Good luck.

That is true, but say if it is the gangs in the area causing the crime, they claim territory, mark exact spots. Meaning, they can claim only one street and anything past that street they could care less about... so as I was saying, you don't see many people from the projects hanging in the neighborhood to the east of Fairlield Ave. I grew up in the church on Fain St., until they moved to Goodletsville, but there rarely was a worry of what was going on in the projects up the street, as if it were a different neighborhood.
Charles E. Davis Blvd splits Naprier and Sudekum (University Court is what they are known of) Naprier is directly to the east and University Court is to the west. Naprier used to be known as the Black projects and University Court were the White projects black in the 60's and before.
