My daughter is 2 1/2 and we are moving to Mount Juliet in 2 weeks. She was going to be entering an early preschool program this fall 3 days a week in NJ that they opened up for her age. Now that we are moving I need to find something for her. I am a stay at home mom so it is not for the purpose of child care. She had some early intervention last year because she needed help in language etc...I would like her in some program for the social interaction with other children. Can anyone help and recommend a place? We will be living in the Providence section. Thank you!

Several years ago, our daughter went to the Grace UMC preschool program and we liked it a lot. There are several others that have been around for awhile (Cole Academy, Tree House, MJ Montessori etc.), I'll see if I can find some recommendations from friends who still have younger ones.

Mothers day out programs are really popular down here. I would call around and tour a few and see if they have openings. It seems there are more programs now then when we moved here 5 years ago and schools that used to have waitlists are still advertising openings for fall.

If your daughter was getting early intervention you may want to contact TEIS about transferring the file, etc. We had a wonderful experience with TEIS for my son. As part of his plan he was put into a preschool program at Waves (Waves if Franklin so too far for you). Also when he rolled over from TEIS to the school district at 3 he was eligible for preschool through the schools.
