I'm currently living in alaska and after high school i want to move to tennessee for college, but i don't want to live in the city. I like the small town's that you can go four wheeling in. I don't want the suburbs though. We need a cheap three bedroom apartment for my sister, her son and I. No more than 1,000 a month. We really just want to get out of alaska and try for a place where we have no family and good schools and good jobs.

Do you know which college(s) you are interested in?

That will help us pinpoint towns for you.

The good news is that from the Art Institute, you don't have to go far to find affordable small towns.

Are you wanting a house with some land? Here is one example in Bethpage. It only has 1 acre, but is in a quiet area.

There are great places to ride here:

Coal Creek OHV | OHV Trails | Campground | ATV Riding | Adventure | ATV/OHV Sport Events | Off-Road Riding | East Tennessee Mountains | Windrock | OHV | Rock Crawling | Rock Climbing | Mud Bog | Poker Run | Rules | Coal Creek OHV

I would think that towns around Mt. Juliet might also be good choices.

we were thinking of an apartment but we may shoot for a house now. My nephew is going to be stoked because there is a good place to ride.

I know others will chime in soon, but I wanted to give you this link for apartment rentals. You can search by location, rent and number of bedrooms:

cheatham and robertson counties are the most rural immediate counties surrounding davidson county(nashville). problem is they are on the other side of the city.

you could look around lebanon. 25-30 minute drive to your school.
