Smyrna area
We are relocating to Smyrna and my son will be going to Smyrna Elementary. Anyone's child go to this school, any thoughts on it? Also how is the commute in the AM to Nashville? Anyone know any good daycare/preschool? We will be coming in January, so I my son needs to finish his last semester of preschool. Thanks!

I don't anything about Smyrna Elementary but my sister lives in Smyrna and says the traffic is horrible. Not sure what direction you'll be going in but if your gonna be taking 24 then be prepared for a haul.

smyrna elementary
My son used to go to that school 3 yrs. ago. I was pleased with the school. He had Mrs. Anderson. She was a GREAT teacher. She was just what he needed. Someone that would not let him get by with nothing. She has been a teacher for many years. The next year he had a much younger teacher and he knew what he could get by with. She was not as strick with him. She was a good teacher. I had no problems with any of the teachers there or the school. The principal that he had while going there, Mr. Zago and one of the women in the office, Kim Lee, have since transferred to the new Stewarts Creek Elementary where my son goes now. It is a brand new school.. this is the second year open. It is a great school!
Good luck.
Lisa

We are thinking about moving to Smyrna in May and need to find a good pre-school. Just wondering if you had had any luck with your research, I haven't been able to find much out about pre-schools in the area.

Hi there. There are lots of websites that can give you information about the areas you are interested. For school reports, you can always visit:
www.schoolmatters.com and GreatSchools.net
Newsweek also put out a ranking of their top 1300 high schools. Several Middle TN schools made the list.
Some agents also have access to additional school or other related reports that are available upon request.
Another neat site that gives all kinds of neighborhood information is: .: OnBoard Neighborhood Navigator :.
Good luck in your search and your move!
