Default Nashville snowboarding/skiiing

What is the closest spot for snow sports living in Nashville? Also, how does Nashville compare to Memphis or Charlotte? Keeping in mind what would be most important to someone in their mid 20s.

The closest places for any snow sports would probably be Gatlinburg or places in North Carolina. That's about 3 hours away.

Cool, thanks for the response. Also like I said before, I've been to Memphis and Charlotte, but not Nashville. Is Nashville more similiar to one of these than the other?

Nashville has the music industry thing going on, so you have a touristy downtown with the Wild Horse Saloon, Hard Rock Cafe, and so forth. Like any metro area, there are ghetto parts of town, but also some expensive areas. You'll likely meet a lot of aspiring musicians if you move there. I think the Bluebird Cafe is one spot that musicians try to get "discovered" there. Some popular areas to live are Franklin/Cool Springs (south of Nashville) or Green Hills. I left the Music City about six years ago, but I still have friends in the Nashville area that call it home and I imagine would love to stay there forever. Good luck to you!
