I see you are in Palmdale. Get ready for a huge climate difference in TN. It is VERY humid here.

Yes, summer when it is hot and humid. It takes some getting used to...

I was in Los Angeles for 18 years - so I know the climate out there (my mom lived in Riverside). The dry heat is a lot easier to take. The high temps + humidity literally kill people every year. It's what is called the "heat index" meaning how hot it feels if you factor the temp and humidity. It was 107 in July here + humidity. And because it is so humid, it doesn't cool down at night like it does in drier climates. I've seen steam rise from the street at 1 am as the asphalt cools down.

I know it can get cold in Palmdale as it is high desert. I've even heard of snow out by Pearblossom. It does snow here but not every year. Last year was mild and only snow flurries. But the year before they had several snow storms. You just never know. The weather does change during the winter. It can be really cold for a week, then warm up in the 50s for a few days. Then back down.

A lot of people here have allergies, hayfever, and/or sinus trouble. A lot of pollen or something. It may bother you but it may not. I've had trouble here and in LA (you know, in LA something is always in bloom). I have a friend who has lived here all of his life and only started having sinus trouble last winter...

Nashville is in a basin, kind of like LA. Many times it will snow quite a bit just to the north - but Nashville won't get so much. Sometimes even the area south of us gets more snow. The Nashville basin in all pretty much the same though. I wouldn't go north, toward the Kentucky state line - that area does tend to get more snow than Nashville.

The area east of Nashville known as the Cumberland Plateau gets all our snow.

There lots of nice new houses close to the new Stewarts Creek High School near Smyrna just off I-24. When SCHS opens in August, it will have the most and best of everything a public school can have.
