I know this might sound like a silly response...but in 5 years, I have no idea if it would be a good move for you.

Perhaps if you tell us the reasons you want to leave California, what your specific needs are, and what you are looking for in a new community, then we can help you decide if this would be a good fit for you.

thanks for your response i am new to forums and not real tech friendly. five years is the soonest we can move do to our financial situation and my current pension. i will not be 100% vested until five years. we feel california is overpriced and just really overpopulated. we are looking for old fashion like feel that is still kinda of on todays times if that makes sense. we have looked at home on zillow and cant believe u can find home that nice for underr 300k. we r looking for a good place to raise our kids the old fashion way.

Nashville is nice. There are some definite hispanic communities here. I am also from California. You will appreciate how far the dollar takes you here. But five years is a LONG time. Come back in 4 years and ask this question again lol.

I grew up in Nashville, I moved to the modesto area to be closer to family. After 5 years in the 209, I went to San Francisco. I always liked Nashville better for the obvious reasons. Cheaper, slower, more peaceful, less stressful, better scenery, etc. The older folks here are not used to hispanics but the younger generations don't mind. Nashville has about 70k hispanics. Its not that expensive either.

Watch out there, Nashville is a CITY. Country living can be found anywhere when you have a big yard and some property. You can do that just as easily in California. And if you love country, you will love Nashville.

i was thinking about the outskirts of nashville i was thinking somewhere in the franklin area. thats why i think nashville will work for.us you can have your big nice property and still be close to the city. we love to go out still but want that country feeling. at first we were thinking of the suburbs of san francisco but prices are outrageous. we also love the style home in tennessee

Franklin is nice. That would be a good option.
