Can anyone tell me anything about The Gardener School preschools in the Nashville area? I'm specifically looking at the one in midtown Nashville.

Thanks!

We toured it, and my daughter is now on the waiting list for next year. The waiting list is by age as there are caps based on age group. It's really nice, but its fairly pricey. They have a very good student to teacher ratio, all the teachers have bachelor degrees, and they have activities and learning opportunities galore. Prices vary by age, and I don't remember exact numbers, but for 2 days a week it runs $140-150/week, and for 5 days a week it runs $250-260/week. They have electronic security to get in for the parents, so only parents of kids there can enter. There's a $100 application fee that is nonrefundable.

We're going to look around elsewhere as well to see if there is a better value out there, but in terms of quality of the facility, curriculum, and staff I can't imagine there would be options out there that would be significantly better.

Thank you so much. I'm relocating, so I haven't had a chance to tour, but I have to have day care in place in order to start my job, and I'm finding a lot of them have wait list. So I'm having to put her on the wait list sight unseen. Value is secondary to proximity to downtown and level of care. Anything less than $1500 a month is a bargain compared to what we would pay in NYC!
