We (total of 12 ladies- age 35-40) are headed to Nashville this weekend. We are all married so not looking for the singles action but would love to know of any don't miss or must see places. One night we are going to be in the Gulch (no idea) and then next night more downtown Nashville.

I, of course, would love a celebrity spotting or two but really we are just looking for some great music and fun.
Thanks

The Gulch is in downtown Nashville. It's just some restaurants and stores. You could probably do both that and the honky tonks in one night.

Try to book a Nash Trash Tour, or a Tommy's Tour, though they usually sell out weeks in advance. They're super fun, though.

While it sounds weird, the ultimate celebrity spotting will be at George Jones' funeral Thursday. Any chance you'll be in town Thursday morning?

On Friday night at 3rd & Lindsley (a nice club south of downtown) you can catch a local band called 12 against Nature - a Steeley Dan cover band made up of some of Nashville's finest studio musicians. Before that is a band that is playing songs by Chicago.

Or you can see Sam Palladio (Gunnar, on the show NASHVILLE) and Little Big Town at the Grand Ole Opry.

Can't really imagine too many celebrity types just walking down Broadway on a Saturday night but I guess you never know!

Oddly enough, I have 4 friends from Cincinnati who are ALSO coming down for a girls weekend. They tried the Bluebird but it's sold out (unless you want to wait in line on Sunday).

The Wildhorse Saloon has free line dancing lessons after 5 - touristy but fun!

Downtown Franklin has some fun shopping, food, but only if you have time for a drive (25 minutes from downtown Nashville).
