I agree with scottv about Charlotte Pike; it would probably be best to avoid that area.

However, I think there's better options than Hermitage. That would be all the way across town from where she'd be working.

I agree about Hermitage being across town, but during non-rush hour traffic it would only take 15 minutes to get from that apt complex I posted to the West End area. Maybe Bellevue would be a better option for her-I haven't lived out there in a while though so I threw out the Hermitage option because my single girl friends like it and there are a lot of nice things accessible-all the stores on Old Hickory around the corner from Summit Hospital and also Providence shopping in Mt. Juliet. I think her best bet for the money though is going to be to get a roommate situation or she might be able to find an older 1 bedroom condo for rent...also, I will add if you're looking at Green Hills you don't want to be in too far from 440 because traffic can be a bear-being close to the interstate is golden and will cut down a lot on travel time-of course there are always short cuts she could take.
