Hello everybody! I am moving to Nashvill from Mississippi within the next month and I am looking for a cheap house to rent. I have dogs and cats so I need somewhere to put them. I like the Hendersonville area but I am lost. HELP!!!

I, too, find it "silly". We live in Franklin and love it!! If you like a diversity of shopping and restaurants come down I-65 to the Cool Springs Mall area. Just west of there is Historic Franklin which has coffee and antique shops where you can stroll through safely. John Pinkerton Park is on Highway 96/Murfreesboro Rd as you are about to get into Historic Franklin. It's great for outings.

We moved here about a year ago and love it!!

We were trying to decide between Hendersonville and Gallatin also. Craigslist was very helpful for us - that is how we found a place to rent. What is cheap? We chose Gallatin because housing is a bit cheaper and we just liked the country feel of it. Hendersonville is a very nice town also though.

I'd say more more North of Nashville... toward the county with easy access to I65. I know for me, it's grand!!

Default Home Sale in East Nashville

Not surprisingly, based on the votes in this poll, East Nashville just posted the highest number of home sales since August, 2006. Anyone else seeing this in other parts of the city? I know things are still bad in other parts of the country, but apparently not here.

thanks in advance!
We came here from NH...indirectly. We lived about 1/2 mile from Lake Sunapee. Spent 2 years in Delaware between NH and TN which was a huge mistake. If we had kids, we would have bought in Goodlettsville or Hendersonville...Maybe Old Hickory. Everyone says schools there are better than metro schools. Many people have also said that if schools were paramount in choosing a place to live, they would not have moved to TN at all. I don't know how much truth there is to that. I don't really know anything about schools here other than what I over hear.
