Hi ! I was wondering about the location of some Bed & Breakfast houses. Could some one tell me if these are good areas to stay for a visit ?
- The Big Bungalow Bed & Breakfast - On Fatherland Street - Linden House Bed & Breakfast - On Linden Avenue - Dasiy Hill On Blair Blvd. I looked on the website, and as you already know they make all of the houses look great, but I want to know what the surrounding area is like. Thank you. |

Blair and Linden are in the same neighborhood. It's an older neighborhood in west Nashville, but nice.
Fatherland Street is in east Nashville. There's a number of interesting old houses that have been renovated in the area and it's a nice area too for the most part. Parts of east Nashville are still a little iffy, but improving. If you stay there, ask before going out walking by yourself at night. You'll be fine there, but just know where you're going. The owners of the B&B would be able to help you. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in that area; I was just pointing out to be slightly more cautious. By the way, a bit of trivia, the Fatherland Street area was the scene of what's call the Great Nashville Fire. It happened around 1912 and burned 500 homes and other buildings in the area. |

Thank you alley cat. I think we will just stay in a hotel then. I don't really like how creepy it sort of sounds. Thanks though.

Had to jump in here.
We stayed at the Big Bungalow on Fatherland and loved it. Absolutely elegant, gorgeous house, friendly owner, excellent breakfast. We felt quite safe, came home late at night, etc. Parked in the fenced-in, locked backyard. Highly recommended. We liked East Nashville so much we are moving there. |

And when I was telling you about being careful where you go in East Nashville, I was just giving you the same kind of warning that people get who stay on Park Avenue in NYC: Don't walk in Central Park at night. You'd just need to use a little caution and you'd be fine. |

I stayed at the Linden Manor in July of this year. I was traveling alone, had never been to Nashville before, and felt very comfortable and safe in the area. The owner, Catherine, was extremely helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations and sights to see. I found it to be conveniently located to where I wanted to go, and will definitely stay there again. Plus, the breakfast each morning was awesome!
