You get a negative reaction because most of your posts are negative, and you have very limited knowledge about the Nashville area.

The jobs question does come up from time to time...depending on the OP's line of questioning. This particular poster asked some pretty specific questions, which indicates to me that they are doing their own research. Considering the areas being looked at, I'm going to go ahead and guess that the OP isn't moving here on the back of an unemployment check.

The OP didn't mention jobs or price range (again, which leads me to believe they are doing their own research), so I think that is an unnecessary follow-up question.

Sorry if I'm coming across as an a-hole, but we have plenty of people -- longtime residents -- who answer these questions on a regular basis. We know what questions to ask. I'm sorry, but we don't need any help with this.

Good day.

This isn't a relocation thread, it's a thank you thread.
OP is already here and no advice was asked for. Your comment was out of place and inappropriate, not to mention extremely mean spirited.
And you wonder why you aren't getting anywhere, sheesh...

To the OP- Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your new home.

Welcome to the Nashville area! Your response made me laugh! Great sense of humor! I hope you settle in quickly and love it here.

We moved here 12 1/2 years ago and still absolutely love it. Exactly how long is this short-lived thrill expected to last?

OP-welcome! Franklin has been very good to us. We've never questioned our decision to move here. I'm sure you'll love it too!

Default Gracias un Mil

I appreciate the reps, kind remarks, and warm welcome. It is true that I don't have employment lined up but my wife starts her new job in Brentwood this week AND we were fortunate enough to have a nice security blanket from the sale of our home earlier this year. We have always been too afraid of leaving "home" so we decided to stop talking about it and just do it. We have been over joyed the last few days and regret not having acted sooner. That's also the extent of my Spanish. Pathetic, indeed. Especially having moved from New Mexico.
