Hendersonville would be a great place to live. Traffic any where is bad but, There are alot of ways to get around that I live in Hendersonville not much of a problem at all.
Good Luck to you |

The Vandy area, to me, is an overrated place where people pay far too much for the "atmosphere" of it all. Being as how you aren't a college student, paying more to live there is worthless. I'd go with Belle Meade/Bellevue ...Hendersonville isn't a bad choice at all, but it's a little further of a commute. From what I've heard though, traffic in the morning isn't bad from the west side (where Belle Meade is), and I'll believe it since there aren't many sizeable suburbs on that side....that's probably the tiebreaker for me.
