There's no problem too big or too small that we can't solve on the Nashville forum (except for why Kenny Chesney is such a big star). A couple of days ago it was where to get burlap; today, where to buy tamales. Tomorrow . . . who's a good dentist and where can I get my shoes repaired.

What I crave is green chili and cheese tamales. When I lived in CA a woman used to come to our business once a month and sell tamales by the half dozen...they were still warm and SO good. Do you happen to know if these ladies sell cheese and green chili tamales? Any particular day or time that they're there? Thanks for the tip!

AKM, let me know when the tamales are done. I'll drive by and test taste them for you.

When you get tired of eating them 'straight up' pour a little homemade chili on them.

The website for La Hacienda is La Hacienda - Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Nashville Tennessee. Click on Contact Us and go to the next page. Send an email to RGains and they promise to place the order for you or you can call (615) 256-5066 and order yourself.
I only asked the price for chicken and pork tamales. Both are $12.00 per dozen.
Thanks again for the information. We are certainly going to try the tamales and I don't think that I can wait for Christmas.

I've only gotten them once, but I do remember their being green tamales and I believe just cheese as well.

Man, I'm not much help - I really don't know. We bought them on a Saturday afternoon. The lady just approached us and asked if we were interested. They were cheap and good!

The Henpeck Market sells fresh ones....
...and Taco Express on Hwy 31. I just had a conversation with them at Taco Express...you just need to order 1 day in advance.
