Know of any authentic Italian Bakeries in middle, tn? Or anywhere in Tennessee? Miss those cookies and pastries I grew up on when I lived on Long Island.

There's Savarino's (sp?) over near Vanderbilt. I've never been inside, just driven by.

I started to mention Coco's but I've heard different stories about it. Some love it, and some were very disappointed. I've never been inside of it either.

I wasn't impressed with Coco's restaurant. The deli was good but there is the Italian place in Germantown on 5rh just past Monroe (sorry can't remember the name). Not sure they have pastries though.

I looked up the Italian Market and on their facebook page, there were pics of cookies. Couldn't tell what kind from the pic, but I hope to go within the next week or so to check it out. I've also been searching the internet for the recipe of my favorite cookie. The oval ones that have jam in the middle and one end is dipped in chocolate with sprinkles. I found some recipes but they all have mixed reviews on whether or not they come close to the real thing found one I might try for Christmas.
