Anyone else notice a lot of disabled cars on the side of the freeway? I drove back to my hotel from downtown earlier this evening, and counted at least 5, maybe 6 between downtown and the Harding exit on 65. None of them were there last night. This kind of cold can expose a lot of vulnerabilities in poorly maintained cars.

How do you figure? The map you included shows a reading of 28 over where Boston is.

At the time posted. The image constantly changes as the Weather Channel updates the temps. That was Monday morning.

But at least it's going to "warm up" to the high teens!

Yes, yes. It should be nice and balmy when I head to the Preds game tonight.

They missed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have an outdoor classic game in Nashville with these temps. Of course, if they're managing to have an outdoor classic game in Los Angeles in a few weeks, I'm sure they could figure out a way to do it in Smashville.

Completely agree,

But I've seen too many disabled cars on these freeways, I barely notice anymore.

Maybe it was a visibility issue? We had some sleet before the snow and maybe some freezing rain in between? I drove to Nashville during the Flood of 2010 and it was POURING but I was almost afraid to stop because the visibility was so bad. I was afraid someone might run into us, even on the shoulder. And the exits were so remote . . . .
