I hadn't factored the culture shock factor in before my initial post to this board. Interesting how things work out.
Franklin would likely be a great fit for you. Franklin and Williamson County in general is a Republican stronghold, electorally speaking. Franklin also does have a certain artsy-ness to it that might work for you. There certainly are a lot of musicians that live in that area.

I'd also tell you to take a look at the Lieper's Fork area of Williamson County. It has a reputation of being a musician's haven and is still located in Williamson County. From what I've heard, it's a fairly expensive area though. Lots of beautiful scenery and land...but not a lot of affordable housing if you're on budget. Still, might be someplace to check out for visiting if nothing else. It could be your artsy/conservative area you're looking for.

If you haven't already, give www.realtracs.com a try for searching for rentals (and real estate if you decide to go that direction). It's a great resource.

Best of luck and let us know how we can help!

Thank you so much for supporting the idea of Franklin This is a big move, and I want to minimize as many mistakes as possible. Lieper's Fork sounds very intriguing indeed!

Great! I will use realtracs as things get closer. I am so excited!

Thank you again for your tips, and future helpfulness. It is invaluable
