I am applying in the healthcare accounting field, if that helps with your answer.
Any thoughts or concerns would be greatly appreciated

What you may have is more a question of how your "market" or present yourself. I am not an account. I am an engineer, but still both engineers and accountants are high demand jobs, particularly, good, seasoned, professionals.
What you need to do is the following:
1) Start networking among the people you know.
2) Consider subscribing to the Nashville newpapers (perhaps weekend Sunday edition only), and pan through the various places to note some of the names.
3) As far as recruiters and headhunters, be careful who you deal with. A good recruiter will NOT present your name to a client, or setup any appointment for you without first reviewing your credentials and talking with you, to see if you even want the job. The recruiting business is very much like that of a "used car salesperson". Some are pretty sleazy, and others are perhaps okay. A good recruiter tends to focus on a certain group of clients, and spends time trying to understand them, and what their client really wants as far as skilled talent. Also, most good recruiters tend to specialize into a certain kind of job, industry, or field. If you can convince a recruiter to go to bat for you, once they have setup the appointment or interview, they will spend time to prepare you for the inteview (they want you to get the job, as it means $$$ for them). A good recruiter will take time to really understand your skills...sometimes if you work with a recruiter long enough, they may even decide to present you to a client even though there may be no directly spoken opportunity (though the recruiter may see a need for someone of a certain set of skills with the client). Remember, the recruiter is in it to make money for themselves.
4) As far as job boards and computer posting sites like monster.com, I guess I tend to fit a certain profile such that I have no problems with getting recruiters and headhunters finding me and getting interviews. This is where I got the majority of the offers...Interestingly I even get queries from overseas also.
As far as me, I do not see me being out-of-state for TN, at least prior to Winchester TN, a problem. I relocated from IL to TN because of circumstances.
