I disagree. Truckers are pressed for time. Taking 840 around versus getting stuck in the Nashville traffic mess would be the way to go for them.

What's the story on the northern route getting the Ax? I heard rumor that big strings were pulled to get it taken off. And now hwy 109 is the TDOT preferred northern route.
