Within the past few months I've been seeing tons of NY registered cars in Nashville. Anyone have any idea what's behind this? I realize a lot of people are moving to the area but I'm not seeing as big a number from other states. Did a large NY based company relocate here?

Vanderbilt kids? It is a popular choice for kids coming out of Westchester.

Well, I just brought down three cars. I haven't switched my plates yet. We didn't realize we needed our titles. We have them in storage so had to pay for copies. Waiting for them to come so we can take care of cars.
I actually hate driving around with those plates. We stand out.

I will say in all the developments we were visiting the models, there were other New Yorkers viewing and talking to builders.

Many who were first responders to the 911 tragedy (NYPD, NYFD) are either retired or retiring and looking for new residence in a lower cost/better quality of life state. Tennessee rates high for someone living on a pension.

We've actually meet a few couples over here at Sam's Sport Bar from the Northeast area that are retired and who have relocated here

At this point, I'm not surprised by any state license plate en masse.

When I think of license plates I would rather not see here, New York ranks right up at the top of the list with Massachusetts, Illinois and Texas...

Please stay where you are...

TN has it all. And with todays ease of information the stereotypes are quickly dissolving.

You see a lot of New York plates because there are a lot of New Yorkers. It's the same reason you see a lot of California and Texas plates and fewer Delaware and Rhode Island ones.

It's the same reason you can find Americans in pretty much every country on Earth. Numbers.
