Hi guys, what can you tell me about Goodlettsville? I came across what seems like a decent apartment complex there, but I'm not familiar with the area and I won't be able to explore for another week or so. Is it an area I should skip altogether or is it pretty decent/safe for a family? Thanks!

Goodlettsville is a good area overall. It has its own city government, police, and fire departments even though most of the city is in Davidson County (Nashville). Schools, generally speaking, are good at lower grades and less so as you increase in age. Goodlettsville Elementary has a good reputation. Goodlettsville Middle...eh, Hunter's Lane High School isn't the worst in Nashville, but it has some challenges. Goodlettsville has a large commercial district in Rivergate Mall and the surrounding area so there's plenty of shopping and restaurants. There's also a top-knotch city park in Moss Wright Park.

Are you looking in the Davidson County side of Goodlettsville or on the Sumner County side? It also helps to know which apartment complex you're looking at to further clarify if it's a safe place.
