I'm looking to meet some family near Nashville and do some boating Memorial Day week. I was looking at getting a rental pontoon and found Fate Sanders Marina and Four Corners. Elm Hill's Shipwreck Cove restaurant/bar area looks like it may fit the bill for evening fun, but some of the reviews I've seen have been less than stellar. Would Radnor Lake or any other nearby lakes fit the bill better?

No alcohol or boating at Radnor. We always just bought food with us - Subway sandwiches, beer, etc. Actually we'd get a pizza. I think there's a Sal's pizza (Stewarts Ferry) is pretty close to the marina. I'm sure the lake will be packed Memorial Day weekend and there will be plenty of music around.

Or are you looking to get OFF the pontoon and looking for some restaurant for the evening hours?

Ideally going to return the pontoon at sunset then go somewhere else for music and drinks.

This might not be quite what you are looking for, but it's also something just to consider in the future - we have gone on Blue Hero Cruises - in Ashland City. You have a captain driving the boat for you. If you do a private trip, then he will take you where you want, and you can get out and play in the water or just chill out on the pontoon. It's just something a little different to do.

We keep our boat at Four Corners Marina and they rent boats. I actually just saw a coupon in the Clipper Mag for a discount on renting the boats there. Check it out. They have the fun party boat w/ the slide off of the top too! They have a restaurant, but it's under renovation, so not sure if it will be ready for Memorial Day. I hear Elm Hill's is the place to be for outdoor music and such. I just heard it's really crowded to park and they tow a bunch, so that's why we chose Four Corners. Good luck!

We too have been wanting to find other restaurants on the water, but it seems there are only those 3 at the different marinas.
