Is anyone else having a tough time finding a place to rent in Nashville?!? My search is pretty broad (West End/Green Hills, Downtown/East Nashville, Brentwood closer to I-65). I've been having the hardest time finding a place. My roommate and I are looking for a 2BR/2BA condo or apartment $1450 or less and everyplace we find is gone within 24hrs. Its crazy! We had a realtor cancel on us right before a showing because they leased the condo. I was wondering if it was just me. I've lived in Nashville for several years now and have always found great places to live, that are not sketchy, at an affordable price. Does anyone have any suggestions We stalk craigslist but that's pretty much all we got now.

believe I read a report last year that there was a 4,000 unit shortage in downtown Nashville....anytime you drive through downtown now you can see that's going to change with all the cranes building apartments/condos, but it is an issue right now

Have you expanded your search out to the northern suburbs and exurbs? I was driving around Goodlettsville weekend before last and saw plenty of signs up. It didn't like anywhere nearly as tight that far out.

We are having the same problem. We were at one house with the realtor and while we were looking around, another couple walked in, asked for an application, and took the house without even looking around! We were hoping to find a house in Hermitage, Goodlettsville, or that general area but NO luck for us either! I'm starting to worry........ I'm suppose to relocate from Raleigh and start my new job on June 16th!!! Good luck to you! If you find any other resources, let me know!!!!

Believe it or not your in a better position than me. Hermitage is a great area but I haven't seen nice places listed recently. I actually live in the area now if you have any questions about it. I'll let you know if I seen anything you're looking for in other areas. I know I have but it's far away for me so I disregarded it.
