Welcome to McCreary

Warning: It's very small, and noisy when busy, but I love the food.
Speaking of Irish food (and near Opryland Hotel)...there's McNamara's.

The food in the hotel is not only expensive, it's also not very good. So you are paying a lot for subpar food. The hamburger place close to the boat rides is really good. And you can walk over to the mall to find some places to eat. But I agree with having some snacks/groceries in your room as well. The longest I've stayed in the hotel was 3 days for a conference and the long walks and food got old very quickly.
Another alternative is to head over to Music Valley and check out the Palace, Cracker Barrell, Opry Grill etc. Could be a bus/shuttle for Grey Line tours, Ernest Tubb Record shop?

Some of my favorite places in Donelson are John A's, Ellendales, Phat Bites (lunch, featured on FC Diners, Drive In's and Drives) & McNamaras. I definitely recommend leaving the area some and checking other areas out while you're here for 6 days. While the Opryland Hotel is really neat, they do seem to try to keep everyone inside the confines so their business' inside can reap the economic benefits. It's sort of like a casino like that (without gambling).

Thank you guys so much!
The thing is, I think our FBLA advisor is making us eat in the hotel for at least 3 days because it's easier to keep everyone together.
I was kind of disappointed also that there is no complimentary breakfast, but that's okay.

You guys helped out a ton!!!!
