Rent is a smidge higher then that in Clarksville in the area's you are looking for. Thats because this is a military town, and rentals in good neighborhoods rent out quickly.

For instance, I live in the Sango area, probably the best school district in the county. I have a big house, and my mortgage is about 1300 a month. But there are house renting in my neighborhood for 2000 to 2500 a month.

For what you're looking for, I'd advise you to look east of town towards Adams, south of town towards Montgomery central, or if you don't mind Kentucky, somewhere in Hopkinsville, KY.

There are apartments for what you're looking for, most are 2 bedroom, and they generally aren't in what is considered the "better" school districts in town.

Rent goes from $400 to $2750 i am showing at the moment for a home.

Depends on what your budget is and what part of town you wish to live in.
