Me and my family of 7 are moving to Murfreesboro or close, we haven't decided yet. I am looking for any helpful information on renting a 4 bedroom house apartment for around $1000 a month, in a good area with good schools. This is our second move in the last year, we are currently in a small town outside of Montgomery Alabama and absolutely love it. If anyone could help me with my quest I would appreciate it.

That price range may be a bit too low for a 4 bed room in a good neighborhood in Murfreesboro. However, you could find some nice town homes or condos on Northfield blvd with two-three bedrooms for about that price. You may also want to look in the downtown area or closer to MTSU to find some newly renovated older homes. Thirteen to Fifteen hundred will get you into the blackman area (west side of town) or the indian hills area ( south church street). If you don't mind living a bit farther from town I would try the areas along east main street (toward fosterville/woodbury) or Christiana ( toward Shelbyville). There really are no bad areas of Murfreesboro, but more crime tends to occur near any of the apartment complexes on Rutherford Blvd, Greenland drive, Wenlon Drive, and Maney avenue areas ( avoid those at all costs).
