Default About Nashville

We are exploring a potential move to Nashville thanks to an opportunity that has come come open to us but we are still a bit hesitant since we live in New York and we really don't know enough about TN.

Would someone please comment on Nashville, its housing and job market and things to do there? Moving from the city to TN will be a big adjusment I guess but we'd like to find out how big of a change we may be facing.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

I've moved to nashville from chicago 3 years ago. It is by far the best move I have made! I have a beautiful home on the lake (which there are several around the Nashville area). And my home cost so much less than up North. I'm about 20 minutes from downtown in the Mt. Juliet area. I live in Wilson County, the schools are great, very safe, and the taxes are cheaper than Metro Nashville.
There really is nothing like the South and everything it has to offer and Nashville is def. on the top of the list. Very metro city like (not quite like NY) but the country is so close also. We have fantastic restraunts, shopping, and everything. I seriously reccomend it. You should visit about this time...the leaves are changing and it is beautiful here this time of year.
Good luck!!
