Default Stay Home Moms, Homeschooling

greetings, our family is considering relocating to TN, nashville being one of the possible cities. a basic foundation we're searching for is a place where many families choose to have mom stay home with the preschool set and there is also an active homeschooling community. is this nashville? we're currently living in NM, having moved from Lancaster,PA. lancaster meets the basic criteria discussed above and we're hoping to find that again. our income is not geographically dependent. therefore, if anyone knows of any other places which meet this criteria, i'd appreciate it. thanks!

I know of lots of homeschooling families in Franklin, TN. I imagine there are lots of communities here that are similar.

As for stay-at-home moms, I think you'll find plenty of those everywhere. I can't think of too many places that are strongly lopsided one way or the other. I'm thinking you have, though, or you wouldn't have asked. Which makes me curious- where?

Hope you find the perfect place for your family.

Default A few TN homeschool resources

You might want to check out the following website. It was started by a homeschooling mom in Nashville (in Inglewood) that is very active in the education scene:
http://tnhomeed.com/. She would be able to steer you to many homeschooling resources and communities.

Other resources to consider include Nashville Parent http://www.nashvilleparent.com/ (you will have to become a "user" to access searches) and a kind of classifieds site called Tennessee Homeschool Groups, Events & Activities http://www.homeschoolclassifieds.com...tate.asp?st=TN.

Good luck!

Check out Heritage Covenant in Franklin. I went through there and was very pleased.
