I can't wait for a full-service Hyatt to enter the market. The Hyatt Place downtown is an excellent property, but Nashville would benefit from something like a Hyatt Regency or Grand Hyatt (preferably the latter).
It was announced that a Hyatt Regency was coming to the lifeway campus. bout 35 stories.

Since Bridgestone is consolidating and relocating several offices here, the new building is already too small to hold them all, thus the need for this satellite office. While they won't enjoy certain amenities offered at the downtown location, a 15 minute commute to work can't be beat!

Mboro to antioch is not 15 mins

Hillsboro Village is about to get a Marriott boutique hotel in a mixed-use building at the corner of 20th Ave South and Belcourt. Moxy Hotel Nashville/Vanderbilt will have 130 rooms, and the rest of the building will contain apartments, ground-floor retail, and a 200-car garage. There's already a Moxy under construction at 215 Broadway in downtown Nashville. Marriott currently has Moxy locations in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, New Orleans, and Tempe, and is developing hotels in Nashville, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, New York, London, Aberdeen, and Oslo.

Great article about preserving Nashville's dives by the Tennessean. Well balanced article about progress, preserving the past, and the delicate tightrope between the 2.

Built as the 300-room James Robertson Hotel in 1929 and then becoming senior housing in 1978, the art deco James Robertson Apartments on 7th Avenue downtown is being restored as a luxury boutique hotel. The Unbound Collection by Hyatt will have 190 rooms, a rooftop pool and bar, a grab-and-go market, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, and a lobby lounge. New Orleans-based real estate development company HRI Properties is spending $50 million on this project and is targeting a late-2017 opening date.

The former home of now-deceased Boots Randolph's dinner club downtown is being transformed into a French restaurant. Nashville's Farm to Table group is working with Metro Historical Commission to remove the brick facade that was added in 1975 to the 1890s-era building on 3rd Ave North. The new restaurant will be called Sea Salt. In addition, the remaining floors will be renovated for commercial use and will include a rooftop patio.

French farm-to-table restaurant planned for Printers Alley

A year after Lyft moved its customer experience headquarters to 2nd Ave in downtown Nashville from San Francisco, the San Francisco-based company says it should have 550 employees in Nashville by year's end, 170 more than originally projected.
